About

How did it all start ?

In 1994, Ken Maff graduated after completing 3 years of science in Aquaculture at the University of Tasmania. Ken worked in marine hatcheries successfully breeding snapper, grouper, oysters, and scallops becoming well versed with the technical challenges in marine reproduction of many different species.

Ken’s career progressed to superyachts and commercial ships and noticed the continuing decline of fish stocks throughout these years. Fascinated by this problem he continued working and exploring the issues of replenishing fish stocks and patterned the required systems which have eventually lead him to start Sea Life Rescue.

What currencies can I donate money in?

We thank you very much for wanting to donate to Sea Life Rescue.

Sea Life Rescue accepts donations in the United States Dollars, Euros, British Pounds, and Australian Dollars because we receive these without paying high conversion fees. If you have another currency and would like to donate manually please use our contact form. You are still able to donate via the website and choose your preferred payment method using a Credit Card or PayPal account which will then debited the amount in the equivalent currency.
